VELUX EHF FINAL4 2017
When the best handball teams in Europe meet, a spectacle is always guaranteed. For the eighth time in a row, Elements Entertainment responded to the call of the European Handball Federation (EHF) to prove itself as a specialist for live productions. Once again, the shows were an astounding success, as the reactions of the fans showed.
The show concept developed by Hans-Christoph Mücke and Volker Hagen was staged under the leadership and direction of Creative Director Mücke. Elements Entertainment produced four different live shows, each of which represented a core value of handball. The shows translated key concepts of modern handball into emotional picture worlds: power, passion, team spirit and action were made visible and were brought to life by light artists, acrobats and dancers.
The perfect base for the inspiring production was created with 24 movable LED Dollies and 50 mobile LED Panels. 100 active performers provided an immersive 360 ° experience, which touched the fans directly. Fans showed their enthusiasm in photo boxes, perfectly choreographed flash light shows created by thousands of smartphones and other joint actions.
And whilst the fans enjoyed the shows, the biggest challenges were kept in the background, invisible as usual: the complex construction of rigging, light, sound, laser and around 300 m² of LED surfaces in the centre of the arena was completed within 12 hours. And last but not least, the shows were perfectly matched for the audiences at home, over a worldwide live-stream and the first ever broadcast of the event by Sky Sports.
